TCM Treatment of Common Trauma

  This seminar provides a clinical exploration of the treatment of orthopedics and trauma with Traditional Chinese Medicine. It includes an introduction to etiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and trauma-based disorders. Specific topics include fracture, dislocation and soft tissue injury. Treatment modalities include external and internal herbal medicine, acupuncture techniques, point injections, Tui Na, and fixation from conditions resulting from trauma. Modern diagnostic techniques are presented as important parallel diagnostic tools.

Speaker Bio: 

Daisy Dong was born in Beijing, China. Daisy began her education in China, and continued to study healthcare administration in hospital and long-term care here in the US. Daisy has taught TCM since1987, and has practiced TCM in both countries since 1985. Daisy’s current practice is at the Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Colorado Hospital & Health Sciences Center, UCD. She is also a full professor at Southwest Acupuncture College
