Parago Jones

Parago Jones, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., is the current Academic Dean at CSTCM after previously serving as the Clinic Director for 12 years. A 1998 graduate from CSTCM, he has gone on to specialize in the neo-classical Japanese Meridian Therapy acupuncture school, moxibustion, and has studied in depth with a number of highly regarded clinicians and teachers in these fields.  He also studied extensively with the nationally known nutritionist, Dr. Michael Gaeta, a prominent national teacher on clinical nutrition and natural health practices. In recent years he began studying Tung-style acupuncture with Susan Johnson, L.Ac., a recognized Tung-style acupuncture expert.

Additionally, he has taught curriculum at CSTCM for more than a decade, is the Continuing Education program administrator, and is a member of the Academic Leadership Team Committee that directs curriculum and school-wide objectives. He also was a certified instructor of Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers & First Aid through the American Heart Association for 10 years and has taught the national CCAOM Clean Needle Technique (CNT) course for nearly a decade, a requisite training for all licensed and certified acupuncturists in the United States.

As well, he has taught continuing education workshops in certain areas of specialization of Japanese-style moxibustion and acupuncture techniques.

Parago is consistently researching subjects in acupuncture studies and the most current research in mind/body medicine, healing, and meditation, and actively continues his education through professional development activity workshops and seminars. He is a nationally certified acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is also a strong advocate of the Weston A. Price Foundation (see and its guiding principles which is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research, and activism.  Parago conducts his private acupuncture practice in Denver at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Shi Cheng, Dipl.Ac. & CH & M.M. (China)

Cheng received his Master of Medicine Degree from Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chengdu, China in 1982. Dr. Cheng has taught Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and TCM Diagnosis and Differentiation in China, the U.S. and in Europe during the last 25 years. Additionally, he has completed research and publications in the treatment of Bleeding Syndrome with Chinese Herbal Medicine, Febrile Diseases and many others. Cheng is a knowledgeable practitioner with extensive clinical experience in TCM. He specializes in Febrile Diseases and Internal Medicine. He is currently practicing in Denver.

Rui Nan, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., M.M. & B.M. (China)

Rui Nan is a third generation practitioner of Chinese Medicine and received her Master of Medicine from Bejing University and her Bachelor of Medicine from Heilongjiang University. Rui Nan has published several texts and worked as a doctor at Harbin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in China. Rui Nan is a Nationally Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is an L.Ac. in Colorado. Rui Nan currently has a private practice on the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine campus.
